Ci sono annate indimenticabili e altre che vorremo scordare subito… L’ultima stagione al botteghino ha visto Tom Cruise sbaragliare la concorrenza senza troppi fronzoli, al cospetto anche di nomi illustri… L’agente di Mission Impossible con 75 milioni di $ incassati, e’ l’attore al momento piu’ prolifico del cinema mondiale, distanziando di molto il pur sempre redditizio Leo di Caprio.
Johnny purtroppo non ha incassato molto, ”solo” 30 “miseri” milioni di $, e si deve pure accontentare di essere raggiunto da Sacha Baron Cohen, e superato addirittura da un lottatore di Wrestling che per diletto fa film di azione, Dwayne Johnson “The Rock”,con 36 milioni di $.

Nonostante il fatto che #DeppinDublin è stato il Trend di Twitter per tutto il fine settimana, in realtà Johnny non si è trovato nella “Emerald Isle” (Irlanda) come appunto si diceva continuamente nel social network. Johnny infatti, è stato tutto il tempo occupato nelle riprese di Tonto, in The Lone Ranger, e per la precisione si trovata in Moab, in Utah, tutto il weekend. Anche i media hanno scherzato su questa presunta presenza di Depp a Dublino.
Per smentire ufficialmente la notizia, E!Online ha detto “Depp non era in alcun modo vicino, all’Irlanda questa settimana, come invece era stato riferito. Una fonte rivela a E!News che lui è stato sul set tutta la settimana per le riprese del film di Gore Verbinski. Tutti gli avvistamenti di twitter sono pertanto falsi poiché Johnny stava girando notte e giorno nel deserto”
Despite the fact that #DeppinDublin was trending on Twitter over the weekend, the man himself was nowhere near the Emerald Isle . . . as regular Zone readers know, Johnny has been busy filming his role as Tonto in Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger, and he was plying his trade in Moab, Utah this weekend. That didn’t keep some media outlets from being sucked into the hoax, and circulating “Depp in Dublin” stories as if they were fact. Whoops–the joke’s on them.
Cleaning up the mess, E!Online reports today that “In fact, Depp was nowhere anywhere near Ireland this week, as had been reported. A source reveals to E! News that he’s been on location all week at a remote area near Moab, Utah shooting The Lone Ranger [. . . .] Source says the alleged sightings on Twitter are ‘totally fake’ and that Johnny was shooting ‘all day and night’ out in the desert.
